Many existing wedding website templates are generic and fail to reflect the couple’s personality, aesthetic, or the atmosphere of the celebration, resulting in fragmented communication and a missed opportunity to set the tone ahead of the big day.
My Approach
Discovery & alignment
I worked closely with each couple and agency to understand their story, values, aesthetic preferences, and logistical needs. This informed both the content structure and the visual direction, ensuring the website felt personal rather than templated.
Information architecture for guests
From a UX perspective, the primary users were guests. I designed clear, intuitive navigation that prioritized the most common guest questions:
When and where is the wedding?
How do I RSVP?
What should I wear?
How do I get there or stay nearby?
Content was structured to minimize cognitive load and reduce follow-up questions.
Final designs
Visually, I translated each couple’s theme into a cohesive digital identity—using typography, color palettes, illustrations, and micro-details to set the tone of the celebration. The websites were designed mobile-first, recognizing that most guests access details on the go.
